Are you Looking for Structural Glazing?

We have expert advice for all your requirements, Call Now!

Our Facade Expertise provides Façade/ Curtain Wall detailing services for Architects, Building owners and Construction personnel. Our Façade solutions include but not limited to Aluminium Curtain Walling Systems (Stick and Unitized systems with any profiles depending on the client requirements), Structural Glazing (2 way and 4 way), Metal Composite panel cladding, Metal Canopies, Doors & Windows and Skylights. We provide services for shop drawings including floor/key plans, elevations, and sections for all curtain walls. Our services include fabrication drawings for Glass, Aluminum Panels, Anchors& Extrusions. The main difference between Unitized & Semi Unitized System is that the unitized wall is installed as a sequence of factory-assembled frames, with interlocking mullions and transoms, and the semi-unitized wall is installed on site, after being fabricated in the factory.

Structural Glazing – Four Side

Each panel is glued with structural silicone to the base frame in a unique attachment process. This is suspended by means of mechanical support at every transom. Our Glazing System performs well against sound, heat, air and water. This provides for a smooth facade with no visible divisions on the outer surface. Properly installed, the system provides a leak-free performance by never allowing water or air to enter the system.g System performs well against sound, heat, air and water. Structural Glazing – Two Side

This is a combination of the conventional aluminium cover profile on two opposite sides of the glass panel with frame-less structural portions of glazing. These profiles are available in many off-the-shelf shapes as well as in custom-made mode to provide better appearance for each elevation. Curtain Wall System

This is a conventional aluminium cover profile (pressure plate) that frames the glass panel from all its four sides at elevation. The profiles used in external facades are available in a wide range of shapes and colour combinations. An optional spandrel panel is also available with 6mm thickness of approved heat shade.

We do Design, Fabrication, Supply, Installation, Testing, Protection, and Cleaning& Handover of glazing four sided structural glazing stick system. Structural & weather sealants, Open PU cell Spacer tape, backer rod, Bracketing system with MS hot dip galvanized / Aluminium Alloy of 6005 T5 brackets designed to accommodate. SS 304 grade fasteners & Anchor Fastners, nylon separators to prevent bi-metallic contacts, Aluminium trims and flashings to seal the gaps between glazing complete required to perform as per specification and drawing in conjunction with BOQ.

The system design shall be based on Closed joint system & design shall include pressure equalization drainage at all floor levels, spandrel panel shall have pressure release slots on vertical side of profile system to avoid condensation. The design to accommodate building movements, thermal expansions & the seismic movements.

The system shall be designed considering surface temperatures of 80-90 degCel& temperature differential of 25 degcel without creating excess stress in the system.

All metal joints in the wet area shall be small joint sealant applied to ensure water tightness. With 6mm thick clear/reflective toughened glass.

Structural glazing Details

Structural glazing offers a cost effective solution for contemporary designs in glass. In simple terms, structural glazing is a type of curtain wall system consisting of glass. The glass is bonded to a structure without using gasketed aluminium caps or plates. The glass can be monolithic, laminated, dual glazed or triple glazed. The back up structures can use aluminium mullions, stainless steel rods or cables. This system helps in creating an exterior which is clean and flushed.

The advantages of structural glazing involve greater transparency as compared to traditional captured systems. It helps in creating a seamless and continuous glass looks due to absence of aluminium. Traditional curtain wall systems have pressure caps which conducts large amount of heat whereas in structural glazing absence of aluminium does not let heat to be conducted easily keeping the building cool. It helps in making a building energy efficient. We specialize in curtain wall systems, curtain system, curtain wall window system, frameless glass curtain wall system, conventional curtain wall system, thermal break curtain wall system, silicone glazing, secondary glazing system, toggle glazing system, planar glazing system, commercial glazing system, curtain wall anchor system, ladder system curtain wall, spider curtain wall system and glass curtain wall. There are different types of glazing systems in the market at present.

Stick built structural glazing system- it is the oldest and most traditional type of curtain wall. Its assembly is done from similar constituents as that of a captured system. The difference is that an exterior aluminium pressure cap or plate is there along with the gaskets to hold it in place. Depending on the manufacturer system, silicone or toggle is fastened in place on the site. In the toggled system, glazing is mostly fabricated in shop. It has a channel bonded behind the glass with the help of silicone or insulated glass spacer frames which can be fastened internally. In wet systems, the glass is clamped in place temporarily to ensure that the sealant is cured completely. Pressure equalization is used to control air and moisture. This system is used mostly in low rise buildings of upto 15000 square feet area.

Unitized structural glazing system- this glazing system is preassembled unlike the previous one. In a shop environment which is quality controlled, a number of glazing materials can be combined into one unit. The glazing materials are joined by silicone and allowed to cure completely. After curing is complete, the structure gets a flush external appearance. After the process, weather conditions become immaterial. Silicone should not be done if the temperature is below 40 degrees fahrenhiet. The units installed can be taller and wider by one panel or two panels. The anchors are made into unit frames in the shop. They are taken by trucks on site to be installed. Once they are set by crane from outside, additional layer of silicone is put. This system is better equipped to handle movement than any other system. Every panel is gasketed which allows independent movement with the structure. This system is used in mid and high rise structures which are 20,000 square feet or more. The installation cost is quite hight for this system when compared to stick built structural glazing system.
